Support

podstow turns articles you save into a private podcast feed, narrated with natural text-to-speech. If something isn’t working, or you can’t find an answer below, we’re happy to help.

Contact us

Email support@podstow.com. We read every message and normally respond within two business days.

It helps us if you include the email address on your account, the device and app you were using (iPhone, iPad, Mac, or the web app), and the link to the article if your question is about a particular episode.

Common questions

How do I save an article?

Open the article in Safari or any other app, tap Share, then choose podstow. The article is added to your feed and starts converting to audio straight away. On a Mac you can also use the podstow Safari extension to save the page you’re reading. In the web app, paste a link into the box at the top of your list.

I saved something and no episode appeared

Conversion usually takes under a minute, but a long article can take a few minutes. If nothing arrives, the most common cause is a page we can’t read — a site behind a paywall or a login, or a page that is mostly video. Try the article’s print or reader view. If it still fails, send us the link and we’ll look at that specific site.

Can I listen in another podcast app?

Yes. Your feed is a normal private RSS feed. Open Settings in podstow to copy the feed URL or scan the QR code, then add it to Apple Podcasts, Overcast, Pocket Casts, or any other player. Keep the URL private — anyone who has it can listen to your feed.

Playback stopped, skipped, or won’t start

Check that the episode has finished converting, then try closing and reopening the app. If a specific episode is affected, tell us which one — that lets us look at the audio we generated for it.

I can’t sign in, or I’ve forgotten my password

On the sign-in screen choose Forgot password and we’ll email you a reset code. If you originally signed up with Continue with Google or Continue with Apple, use that same button rather than a password — it is the same account. If the reset email doesn’t arrive, check your spam folder, then email us from the address on your account.

Changing or cancelling my subscription

podstow is free to use, with paid plans that raise how much you can convert. Subscriptions are bought and managed on the podstow website in your browser, not inside the app. Sign in at podstow on the web and open your billing settings to change your plan, update your payment details, download invoices, or cancel. Cancelling leaves your account and your existing episodes in place — you drop back to the free plan at the end of the period you’ve paid for.

Deleting my account

You can delete your account yourself, in the app or on the web. See Delete your account for how to do it and exactly what is removed.

Privacy and your data

What we collect, why, and how long we keep it is set out in our Privacy Policy. The terms you use the service under are in our Terms of Service.

Reporting a problem with an article

If an article was converted badly — the wrong text, missing sections, or something read aloud incorrectly — use Report a problem on the episode in the app. That sends us the article and the audio together, which is the fastest route to a fix. You can also email the link to support@podstow.com.
