Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2026

podstow is a personal tool that converts text into podcast episodes — from web articles you submit, or text sent directly (including from an AI assistant via our MCP integration). By using podstow, you agree to these terms.

Who can use podstow

You must be at least 13 to use podstow (or 16 in the EEA and UK).

What the service does

You submit URLs or text to convert. podstow extracts the text from URLs you send, converts it to audio, and adds it to your personal podcast feed. You can then listen in any podcast app.

Your content responsibilities

You're responsible for the content you submit. By sending us a URL or text, you represent that you have the right to access that content and convert it to audio for your personal use. podstow is a personal conversion tool — we don't independently verify copyright or licensing of the content you submit.

Personal use only

Your podcast feed is for your personal use across your own devices. The feed URL is your access credential — treat it like a password and don't share or redistribute it. We may suspend or disable feeds that show signs of being shared.

Accounts and billing

Free accounts have usage limits. Paid plans offer higher limits and are billed through Stripe. Paid subscriptions auto-renew at the start of each billing period until you cancel. You can manage your subscription or cancel at any time from your billing page. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period — we don't refund partial periods, but you'll keep access until the period you've paid for ends.

Availability

We aim to keep podstow running reliably, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may need to take the service down for maintenance, and things occasionally break. We'll do our best, but we don't promise 100% uptime.

Limitation of liability

podstow is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Termination

You can stop using podstow at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. If we terminate your account, we'll delete your data on the same basis as a user-initiated deletion request (see our Privacy Policy).

Copyright and takedown

If you believe content on podstow infringes your copyright, email support@podstow.com with: identification of the copyrighted work, the material on podstow you want removed, your contact information, and a good-faith statement that you're authorised to act for the copyright owner. We'll investigate and remove infringing content promptly. If your content is removed, you can contest the decision by replying to that email.

Indemnification

You agree to hold podstow harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from the content you submit, your use of the service, or your violation of these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and notify you (for example, by email or an in-app message) before they take effect. Continued use of podstow after a change means you accept the updated terms.
